Account Specialist

Job Summary:

Account Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Use a consultative sales approach as you build trust and rapport, learning about the customers’ needs.
  • Overcome objectives, close sales, and meet a monthly quota.
  • Maintain product knowledge and guide customers to our best solution for their needs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Professional appearance, articulate, fast learner, ability to multitask
  • Excellent phone skills: a “hunter’s” attitude
  • Comfortable working with business-to-business sales
  • Proficient in MS office and CRM programs

Sales Experience:

  • 1 to 3 years consultative sales experience preferred.
  • 1+ years of cold calling, prospecting experience ideal.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Communications preferred but not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.


Position includes a competitive base salary plus commissions. After 90 days, you will receive a salary review. Full commissions program will apply upon placement in a permanent territory. Excellent monthly bonus incentive and contests throughout the year. Paid time-off, medical, vision and life insurance eligible after 60 days. Dental available at your own expense. 401(K) after 1 year of employment. Supplemental insurance for critical illness and accidents (after 90 days).

Business Development Assistant

Job Summary:

The Tamis Corporation is a leader in the sale of crowd management products to companies nationwide. We need a highly-motivated, detailed oriented individual to assist in our growth. This position will provide support to the both the sales and marketing departments. He or she will be responsible for researching and defining new sales opportunities. He or she will focus on capturing leads, maintaining our sales database, supporting sales and marketing initiatives and providing administrative support as needed.

Business Development Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Search the web and industry publications for long-term and short-term projects for the Sales Department. New business opportunities will be thoroughly researched for contact information. Information will be entered as an “Opportunity” in our database and assigned to an Account Manager for follow-up
  • Review all inquiries generated by our websites. Each inquiry will be entered into our database as an ”Opportunity” and assigned to an Account Manager for follow-up.
  • Enters new contacts and entities into the database, and edits existing information. Uses information systems to input data, maintains databases, performs research for projects or mailings, etc.
  • Assists the Marketing Department on email blasts, and mass mailings.
  • Registers Tamis with government agencies and purchasing networks, as needed. Reviews bid requests, creates opportunities and assigns leads to the Account Managers.
  • Assists in maintaining products and pricing in the database; provides updated pricing to the Marketing Department for use on the websites.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Associate’s Degree, preferably in business.
  • Minimum Experience: 2 Years in a sales or customer service environment.
  • Sales and/or Marketing Experience a Plus


  • Proficient in the use of a personal computer, databases, and Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient in online research, gathering and analyzing data.
  • Prioritize and plan work activities, managing time efficiently to attain goals.
  • Flexible and able to succeed in a fast-paced environment, willing to do whatever it takes to meet our objectives
  • Speaks and writes clearly and professionally
  • Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision

Compensation and Benefits:

$15 per hour to start; increase to $16 after completion of a 90-day training period
